Total Outer Rim (TOR) announces that peace has been restored to the Altor System. Thus, efforts and research there aimed at rediscovering the two lost species Avogwi and Nuiwit are once again in full swing. These efforts had been interrupted on Day 159 by the violent incursion of the Imperial Union (IU) into the system. The IU assault fleet, composed of elements of the Havoc Squad, The Faerytail Family and the Chiss Ascendancy, rapidly began dismantling the established network of research satellites. As a result, TOR dispatched a Космофлот fleet to put an end to the Imperial terror in the system. On the 161st day, combat operations in system between the IU and TOR reached a climactic peak: After five hours of fighting, TOR secured a decisive victory over the attacking forces of the IU in the battle now known as the Battle of Altor. Following that humiliating defeat, the commanders of the IU fleet changed tactics.
The defenses of this recently rediscovered star system were still under construction, and its planetary shield network remained in the final stages of testing and calibration. Under the cover of night, accompanied only by the rhythmic chirping of Altorian crickets, an enemy strike force managed to land within a hidden research settlement on Altor 14 on Day 163.

According to eyewitnesses, the first figure to emerge from his fighter was some deranged-looking individual whose identity remains unknown. Without a word, he immediately began chasing the technicians who had been working on the settlement’s cloaking systems. In the darkness, the sounds of panicked footsteps soon joined the chorus of the crickets. The crickets fell silent when the crazed pilot caught one of the fleeing workers and butchered him with exceptional cruelty. The murder triggered an immediate alarm throughout the settlement. Sirens wailed across the town as residents barricaded themselves inside their homes, while courageous workers, armed with nothing but their bare hands, threw themselves at the invaders. Many managed to land a punch or two before meeting painful deaths. Those who fell unconscious were simply finished off where they lay. Despite the desperate resistance, the assault force eventually succeeded in destroying the settlement’s cloaking array. The Imperial Union rampaged across Altor 14 with blind and relentless hatred, spreading fear and terror among peacful settlements throughout the planet before vanishing as suddenly as it had appeared. And, as always, not before blowing up every atmospheric satellite they could find.
TOR immediately sent rescue teams to assist the local inhabitants of Altor 14. They were met with sheer horror. The residents of the small, picturesque town with main research facility had been slaughtered and horribly mutilated. Many bodies contained excessive lightsabre wounds, traumata of blunt force and electric shock, signs of torture prior to death. Surviving witnesses to the Imperial violence received direly needed psychological support by the counsellors attached to the rescue teams.
A brief investigation yielded surveillance footage recorded by the research network active on the planet, which was luckily mirrored to TOR shortly before those sensors were destroyed by the IU. The holo material was handed over to a joint Rogue Squadron (RS) and TOR intelligence unit, which analysed it immediately; the unit succeeded in identifying the members of the IU task force responsible for the atrocities committed against the civilian population. Dark side adepts Magnus Ironside and Rhan Komo were identified as key figures in the slaughter of the people of Altor. Samux Marus, the fleet commander of Havoc Squad, was also identified as part of the IU strike team.

On Day 164 1:05, Космофлот destroyed an intruding Faerytail Toscan 8-Q Starfighter squadron at zero own losses. On Day 165, 13:18 galactic standard time, IU and TOR forces clashed again in space, with the IU eager on ambushing Космофлот Corona-class Frigate Владикавказ. The IU forces composed of no less than three Star Saber XC-01 Starfighter MkII squadrons from Havoc Squadron and the Chiss Ascendency, a BTL-S3 Y-wing Starfighter squadron and the Kaloth-class Battlecruisers [HAVOC] Frozen Maiden, [HAVOC] Valor and [HAVOC] Warhammer. The Владикавказ frigate was able to emergency jump at shortly before shield failure.
Having weathered the initial assault without losing a single ship, TOR sprung its own trap and unleashed hell upon the battlecruiser [HAVOC] Valor. A fierce counterattack erupted as battlecruisers, carriers, and countless bomber wings poured devastating fire onto the Imperial vessel. That kaloth was commanded by Captain Shas’o Cho, who to TOR’s commanders surprise handled his ship with remarkable skill and professionalism this time around. Time and again, he managed to evade torpedo salvos launched by some of Космофлот finest fighter aces. In the end, Cho escaped only by executing an emergency hyperspace jump from the Altor system at the very moment TOR’s rearguard began launching fresh bomber squadrons tasked with finishing off the already burning and heavily crippled warship. Sensor readings recorded the vessel’s structural integrity at a mere 489 points, indicating that a catastrophic hull breach was imminent and that a single additional torpedo volley would likely have destroyed the ship outright.

The Imperial Union fleet, apparently shaken by the resilience and determination of Космофлот, abandoned the assault and jumped out of the system. It was never seen there again.
Thus, this conflict for Altor lasted from the 159th to the 165th day of the Year 27 — a span of time that will remain in the memory of the people of Altor as the “Seven Days War”. The picnic, to which TOR Commander-in-Chief Memnoch had invited the people of Altor to celebrate the successful expulsion of the Imperial Union from this system, lasted far longer – a full 21 days. It is rumoured that light reconnaissance elements of the Rebellion arriving late to the party joined the picnic as well.
Likewise, and with grim resolve, Космофлот has been maintaining defensive positions until today, overseeing the completion of the systems’ defences, which are soon to be reinforced with even heavier ships of the line to reinforce the decree: the system is under protectorate of Total Outer Rim.
