FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
In the closing hours of the Khuiumin conflict, in an effort to seemingly draw attention away from its losses on the front, Son-Tuul Pride have attempted to reinvent themselves as “The Eternal Empire.” In an effort to secure stability in the region and adhere to the mission statement of the Hydian Expanse, the Expanse Leadership Council elected to test the truth behind the reformation, offering terms for their capitulation and of reparation to the Expanse. These terms were intended to allow the Eternal Empire to maintain its autonomy, work to repair damage caused by their criminal activity, and ensure lasting stability for the region.
To combat any potential misinformation, the Expanse hereby formally publish the terms offered to the Eternal Empire:
– Immediate release of all prisoners held in prisons, prison ships, or any other place of incarceration captured under the banner of the Shadow Dominion
– 1 billion credits paid out to each Hydian Expanse faction, totaling 5 billion credits
– All assets currently held within the Khuiumin and Morobe sectors, to include but not limited to stations, ships, vehicles, and weapons
– An immediate cessation of operations within the Khuiumin and Morobe sectors and barring any future operations or presence within the same
– 1 Cumulus class Corsair named “Tuul’s Razor”
– All assets held by Shadow Dominion within Hydian Expanse territory
Despite the reasonable terms offered for cessation of hostilities that had carried on for over a decade, having come about as a result of the Shadow Dominion’s antagonistic and expansionist efforts, the so-called Eternal Emperor instead quickly rejected the terms. In his communication, Shalas was quoted as having said “Hydian owes us Khuiumin” reaffirming their belief that the victims of their hostility were instead their oppressors.
The alliance has come to the conclusion that these “reformation” efforts from the Eternal Empire are nothing but hollow words, a desperate attempt by Bork Shalas to distract his own people from the reality of their total defeat at Khuiumin. Rather than showing any integrity by renouncing their criminal past and accepting the terms offered, they simply wish to paint themselves as the victim of some grand conspiracy whilst continuing to threaten citizens across the galaxy who do not align with their galactic viewpoint.
As these diplomatic attempts have been rejected by the Eternal Empire and ceasefire talks have broken down, the Hydian Expanse has redoubled its commitment to the purging of criminal elements, such as the Shadow Dominion or as they have recently tried to rebrand themselves, the Aeternum Constellarium, thus ensuring the galaxy remains a safe haven to all who wish to simply live their lives.
