Black Sun Peacekeepers Restore Order at Maw Installation

The standoff at the Maw Installation has erupted into open conflict. For days, Zann Consortium & Son-tuul Pride forces entrenched themselves within the sprawling facility, preying on innocent freelancers responding to a request from a scientist. Black Sun has brought their terror campaign to an end.
Under the banner of the Black Sun, waves of battle droids and Collective agents advanced sector by sector, directed by their very own Dark Prince, Thrall Lothbrok. Fighting spread across multiple corridors and docking platforms, as squads of Zann and Black Sun operatives clashed in close-quarters engagements. Witnesses described a brutal exchange, with fallen combatants leaving behind weapons and trophies claimed in the heat of battle.
Both organizations accuse the other of exploiting the chaos, with reports that Zann elements targeted freelancers attempting to deliver aid, while Black Sun are accused of using poisoned blades against Zann fighters. Vigo of Defence, Rayus Kestyn has responded to these accusations with the comment, “While I cannot comment on the weapons or tactics that we are using in an ongoing military operation, Black Sun has signed no treaties banning the use of poisoned weapons.”
A spokesperson for the Blades of the Forgotten Prince released a statement on the initial phase of Black Sun’s peace-keeping and counter-terrorism operation, “We are incredibly proud of the performance of our Collective members over the last few days. They have put life and limb on the line to protect the people of the Galaxy. In particular, we would like to recognize the efforts of Katja Volkova, Nox Furem, and Tim Storms, whose bravery is an example of the best that the galaxy has to offer.”
With the arrival of Máurari Blackguard reinforcements and mounting casualties, Zann’s fighters were forced to withdraw from the station. Their panicked retreat allowed Black Sun units to regroup and reinforce defenses in anticipation of a second, larger assault. This reprieve permitted Black Sun aid workers and NGOs to bring in much-needed food and medical supplies for the many injured by Zann’s ruthless and unprovoked attacks, though this was unfortunately cut short by Zann’s return.
On-site observers described the subsequent phase of the conflict as being even bloodier than the first. Under mounting pressure to turn the tide, Zann commanders escalated their offensive with the arrival of fresh reinforcements that included many of their elite forces. In the face of this renewed assault, Kira Morbus, Black Sun’s Primogen, fought a desperate holding action until a relief force could arrive. In the end, it took twelve of Zann’s agents to force the Primogen to cede her ground.
The efforts of the Primogen and the Máurari Blackguard proved vital. When Collective agents re-entered the fray alongside Black Sun Vigos, Zann’s forces were still exhausted and wounded. Close-quarters skirmishes erupted across the station, further destabilizing Zann’s hold on the Maw Installation, as Black Sun started concentrating their power to single out the terrorists, one member at a time.
As the fighting dragged on, signs of attrition began to surface. Black Sun operatives reported thinning Zann ranks, with several of their strongest fighters falling or withdrawing under sustained pressure. Despite their initial numerical advantage, Zann was unable to maintain their momentum and they were once more forced to retreat by the superior skill and will of Black Sun’s brave fighters.
Thanks to Black Sun’s valiant efforts, the Maw Installation is now free of Zann agents. Order, for the moment, has been restored. Time will tell how long this will last. This is Cynthia Kappa and that concludes our special report from the Black Sun News Network.
