In an unprecedented move to expose the ongoing turmoil spreading across the galaxy, Black Watch, operating in support of Imperial Union agencies, has declassified a series of sensitive intelligence reports for public release at the suggestion of Black Sun’s newest Shadow Vigo, Hastur.
The documents center on several Cathar and Togorian aides embedded within the Rebel Alliance government. Intelligence documents developed by Black Watch analysts reveal a vast network of subversion and nepotism that has fractured the Alliance into two bitterly opposed factions. On one side stands Rebel Alliance Intelligence, still nominally commanded by Jonas Kanuteau and his longtime associate Darcks Galvan, who together maintain most of the operational authority within the organization of the Rebel Alliance.

Opposing them are their political rivals Orion Chran and Coren Rinou, the former Supreme Commander his now disgraced second-in-command, who view Kanuteau as an ambitious usurper and a direct threat to their influence. According to the reports, Chran has been coordinating with private military entities; including Stryker Military Service, the Triumvirate Coalition, and the Jedi Order, in a bid to destabilize Kanuteau’s leadership and reclaim control of the Rebel Alliance, calling Kanuteau “an upstart bully who refuses to listen to reason”. To finance their clandestine operations, Chran and Rinou allegedly engaged in covert technology exchanges, selling off restricted Rebel war materiel to fund their faction’s ambitions of returning to power.
A concerned citizen within the Blue Star Dominion, described as a supporter of Kanuteau, reportedly alerted Director Galvan to these activities under strict anonymity, much to the frustration of Chran’s cabal. Upon learning of this intelligence, Kanuteau swiftly ordered a sweeping internal purge, directed by Galvan and justified as an effort to “remove the old guard that threatens the stability of the Rebellion.”
Following this, Owyn Darklighter and Pietro Leopoidino, leading members of the Rebel Alliance Council who had previously feigned neutrality and ignorance of both operations, quickly aligned themselves with Kanuteau and Galvan. A hasty investigation and trial were convened, resulting in convictions of treason, corruption, grand theft and various other charges. The evidence was enough that Jonas demanded that Chran and Rinou step down from their positions on the leadership panel and council.

However, both Chran and Rinou have refused to relinquish their authority, calling upon their allies to boycott what they describe as a silent coup. In a series of private communiqués, they have reportedly offered to expand existing technology access agreements and grant additional MC-80 Home One-class Star Cruisers in exchange for renewed support from sympathetic factions. Both sides of the internal conflict refuse to cede ground, and our sources show that Galvan is having classified discussions with Rebel Intelligence operatives on removing assignment of Alliance owned capital ships currently in use by their “allies”. This is a strong reminder of where power truly lies to the minor members of the Alliance bloc.
While the Rebel Alliance continues to splinter under the weight of its own corruption and ambition, the Imperial Union remains steadfast, unified, and resolute. The Union remains an enduring beacon of order amid the chaos consuming the galaxy.
