Kashyyyk, Faerytail-Occupied Territories – Galactic News System (GNS)
Fresh off their audacious heist on Coruscant, the Blue Star Dominion’s elite strike team arrived on Kashyyyk expecting the dense forests, towering trees, and rustic villages that had long defined the Wookiee homeworld. Instead, they were met with sprawling cityscapes, endless industrial zones, and towering skyscrapers, leading to several minutes of genuine confusion. As the team debated whether their hyperspace jump had somehow glitched and returned them to Coruscant, the stark truth slowly became clear – Kashyyyk was no longer a world of forests, but had been completely transformed into a planetwide city under the rule of the Faerytail Family, questionable allies of the Galactic Empire. The shimmering skyscrapers, endless traffic lanes, and suffocating lack of greenery led the strike team to deem Kashyyyk as “Coruscant 2.0.”
Making their way through the urban sprawl, the strike team noticed something even more unsettling: there were no Wookiees in sight. Despite Faerytail’s claims of prosperity for the native race of the world, the Dominion could find no evidence that the once-proud inhabitants remained. Buried reports suggesting the planet’s population had been enslaved and shipped off-world to fuel Faerytail’s industry were looking increasingly true. The Dominion team, expecting to blend into the planet’s wild terrain, instead found themselves lost in a maze of industrial corridors and traffic, their plans thrown into disarray. Despite this setback, the strike team pressed on, following rumors of an Imperial vault tied to the Faerytail Family’s operations. Most notable was the discovery of a business named “Dragoneel Grooming Services” which seemed to have an office on every city block.
Adapting to the unexpected yet familiar terrain, they infiltrated key areas – though not without hiccups. Marshal Tomas O`Cuinn was overheard muttering “I’ve seen this cantina before,” while Arbiter Andre Archer nearly led the team into a holo-cinema, convinced it was an Imperial outpost. The entire mission ground to a halt when Sentinel Jago Kell, freshly promoted during the prior mission, confidently declared he’d found the city’s command hub – only for the team to discover it was a local fast-food chain specializing in bantha burgers that turned out to be delicious. The absence of familiar landmarks, combined with the eerie silence of the Wookiee-less planet, created an almost surreal atmosphere. Still, the Dominion uncovered vital intelligence about the Faerytail Family’s collaboration with the Empire before retreating to their stolen Fury-class Interceptor.
The mission underscored the Imperial Union’s environmental destruction and its relentless march of industrialization. Kashyyyk’s forests – once a symbol of natural beauty and freedom – had been replaced by machinery and duracrete, while its native Wookiees had been seemingly stripped from their world. As the Dominion escaped into hyperspace, they couldn’t shake the haunting image of Kashyyyk’s hollow skyline, a stark reminder of what the Empire and its allies were willing to sacrifice for power. For the Dominion, this mission wasn’t just about gathering intelligence – it was a sobering glimpse into the cost of the galaxy’s ongoing war.
