Breaking news: The leader of the Restored Empire’s Imperial Survey Corps has been captured by Guavian Death Gang enforcers. The Guavian Death Gang, a mechanized front of the Son-Tuul Pride’s Dark Confederacy, executed the operation to capture their former leader, Zacros, who was exiled for attempting to betray their organization to the Galactic Alliance.
In his initial departure during the Arvala system conflict, Zacros tried to persuade other Guavian members to defect and share vital intel with the Pride’s enemies. Upon failure, Zacros was swiftly removed from the Guavian Death Gang and handed over unharmed to the same rebels he sought refuge with.
Not long later, Zacros was observed working with the Restored Empire to combat organized crime in the galaxy, operating under the operational handle of “Sun Guard.” Among the target organizations was Son-Tuul Pride. Zacros, alongside Neizor lz`i Suneater, another former member of Son-Tuul Pride, attempted to undermine their former allies.
However, what unfolded could only be described as catastrophic for the Restored Empire as the ill-equipped mutinous Imperials made one ill-fated step after another. Neizor, against all odds of being identified as suspicious, managed to trap and ultimately transport Zacros back to Son-Tuul territory.
“This is a lesson about the dangers of betrayal and underestimation of enemies,” stated Khagan of Son-Tuul Pride, Bork Shalas.
Hatori Hoorl remarked, “Very well-played, very smart move. This was a win for Son-Tuul, and from one warlord to another, I congratulate you.”
The capture of Zacros signals a significant event in the ongoing tensions between the rebellion and the criminal families of the Shadow Dominion alliance. It highlights the strategic capabilities of the Son-Tuul Pride and raises questions about future engagements. It is clear the Son-Tuul Pride continue to relentlessly assault civilization, picking up where their brethren, the Zann Consortium, left off, backed by the same intelligence network many claimed was destroyed, but appears in good working order.
Observers note that this event could shake the foundations of the Restored Empire’s delicate infrastructure built by the Rebel Alliance and erode the minimal support it has. Sources close to Hatori Hoorl indicate that in an act of desperation to prevent any security breaches, Hatori reached out to Elarain Belleraux, an alleged member of the Crymorah Syndicate, in an effort to secure intelligence about Neizor. Only to be tricked into further sealing Zacros’s fate. Furthermore, it’s been speculated that Hatori did so after pleading to the Confederacy of Independent Systems to allow Neizor to pass as a reformed citizen of the Restored Empire, following known attacks while they were a bandit attacking the allegedly neutral government.
Specifics have not yet been revealed why Hatori would speak with Ms. Belleraux given her ties to the underbelly of the galaxy, but many speculate it’s due to their history as Imperials, causing many to question Hatori’s judgment skills and Elarain’s own motives.
As the situation develops, the resolve of both the Son-Tuul Pride and the Restored Empire will be crucial in determining the next phase of this conflict. The bandits of Morobe, with their Dark Confederacy allies, are ready to pursue their interests fiercely.
With a new conflict on the horizon, the anticipation of a series of battles grows, as the criminal clans of the Shadow Dominion are anything but subdued by civilization.
