Shadow Dominion Announces “Strategic Tourism Initiative” Following Minor System-Wide Defeat

March 15, 2026

Resistance News Network (Khuiumin) –

Officials within the Shadow Dominion have confirmed that their sudden loss of orbital control in the newly discovered Khuiumin System was not, as rebel sources claim, a catastrophic military failure. Instead, Dominion leadership described the incident as a “planned redistribution of assets” and “an exciting opportunity for pilots to experience exotic planetary environments.”

The conflict began several days ago when the Dominion discovered the system and began converting it into what insiders described as a “totally secret forward base that nobody would ever find.” Within hours of construction beginning, the location somehow appeared on nearly every rebel intelligence network, several corporate logistics boards, and one particularly popular bounty hunter forum.

What followed was a rapid influx of rebel fighters, corporate ground crews, and neutral peacekeepers locked in an increasingly crowded stalemate with the Dominion flotilla. Combat Engineers led by Total Outer Rim successfully installed defensive platforms around Dominion outposts, forming an effective blockade of the system. Meanwhile, Dominion forces drove back several probing assaults from scattered resistance.

The situation changed dramatically on Year 27, Day 109.
According to battle reports, the plucky coalition launched a coordinated strike that shattered Dominion defensive formations. Hundreds of pirate fighters were destroyed over the 12-hour engagement, while Dominion Kaloth Battlecruisers and Corona-class Frigates limped into hyperspace. Broken and desperate, the Dominion called in reinforcements from Unnamed Imperium, who were promptly instructed to take a long walk off a short plank.

The most unfortunate consequence of the defeat was for Dominion troops already deployed planetside. With orbital cover gone, numerous high ranking officers found themselves abruptly stranded on the surface of Courkrus, with others quickly following in Escape Pods. Panic quickly set in the Dominion ranks as they encountered a seemingly invincible Alderaanian they nicknamed the “Ghost of Kumquat”, able to withstand focussed fire from 48 pirates and walk away unharmed. The nickname was later handed over to Lucifer von Kaldreon as a result of “briefly being seen once, then quickly exorcised from the area”.

As the battle raged on the ground, the self-proclaimed “Dread Lord” Ximaro Jix was unavailable to comment on the current situation, on account of a high priority covert mission – grunting and tussling with a lightly armed Abyssin, safely aboard his personal YT-2000 Light Freighter.

However, during a lull in the fighting we were able to speak to one anonymous Rebel commander:

“The Rogue Frequency peddles a fable that the Rebellion is dead, that they’re coming for you next. The ship graveyard of Khuiumin tells a different story – we named it ‘Bork’s Folly. The Defilers should use this little unplanned camping trip to pick up some new skills – maybe farming, seeing as they finally seem to realise that they reap what they sow.”

The Galaxy stands with you. We are all Khuiumin. Together.
