Your holoscreen bursts into life and you find yourself watching a busy newsroom full of droids.\u00a0 The camera slides forward to where an black-hued RA Series Protocol droid stands in front of a large holo display screen.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGreetings Sentients of the Galaxy, I am RA-7E, one of The Whisperer\u2019s Networks News Presentation Droids, bringing you this special report.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we have breaking news regarding recent events in the Derra system.\u201d The droid moves around and points to a graphical representation of the system on the screen behind him.\u00a0 \u201cReports have been coming in that on Day 40 Havoc mercenaries launched a sudden strike on alliance forces throughout the system. Responding forces from the Jedi Order found themselves out matched and tactically outsmarted. The lead ship, a Jedi CR-90 corvette aptly named \u201cJedi Hustle\u201d and its escort fighters came under heavy fire and its escort fighters were destroyed during the initial attack. The corvette suffered critical damage and was captured by Havoc forces, along with most of its crew, the Captain of the ship, in an act some may consider cowardly used an escape pod to flee the assault and was recovered by the Jedi Order.\u201d The droid looked down at its datapad before turning back to the camera.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cConfusion is probably the primary feeling at hand within the alliance, who is Havoc and why are they hitting alliance targets? Rumors have begun to spread and some even theorize that Havoc was hired by Zann as revenge.\u201d The droid looked down at the datapad again as if checking some details and turned back to the camera. \u201cFrom what we can gather, most of Havoc is made up of former senior and Command level officers of The Resistance, based on their service records that are publicly obtainable; they retired honorably back in Year 24. Although one would imagine that Resistance High Command may have a different opinion of them now?\u00a0 We are still not able to ascertain the motive for these attacks. It appears that Havoc, based on these damage reports we have received regarding casualties, may have dealt the alliance a bloody nose at the very least\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cA grim discovery was also made when a drifting escape pod was located near to the system.\u00a0 \u00a0 The pod contained a holo-recording and bodies of two alleged Resistance Agents, who have yet to be identified. This recording is considered graphic so we are currently holding back on showing anything other than the following edited version\u201d The droid activates the recording which shows two Resistances agents attempting to board a docked Havoc carrier during refueling, as they are attempting to board, they were confronted by an armored figure who ignites a lightsaber. A few seconds later the agents can be seen shooting at the Havoc enforcer before getting cut down and the recording cuts off. The recording goes back to the droid.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe also received this holo-recording from Havoc, we asked Havoc for additional information, however they have been unwilling to communicate further or provide more information. This is all that was provided.\u201d The droid motions for the recording to play. The recording begins and pans around the darkened interior of the bridge of a large ship. A figure clad in white and brass brandishing a Havoc Squad logo on their helmet and chest piece can be seen.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are rumors that we were hired by criminals or pirates, and whilst that\u2019s quite funny, they are misleading. The very people who hired us are not unlike your own organizations. A message is what they wanted and a message is what they received. Look within yourselves and maybe you will find the trail, our Non-disclosure which we honor, prevents us from saying more. But I can say however that our client has been most generous. We made a tidy profit on this venture.\u201d The angle pans out to show the numerous armored figures, all clad similarly. \u201cWe hope the alliance responds to this message, their lies, their defeat and their ego\u2019s will know no bounds. Havoc will be keeping the numerous wrecks of their ships that we captured, I am sure the corvette or A-wings will make great reminders of our victories.\u201d Chants begin to sound around the ship \u201cKILL, KILL, KILL\u201d before the recording cuts off.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The droid turns back to the camera, \u201cCopies of both the original recordings, the message sent by Havoc and a copy of the Resistance agents deaths have been passed on to The Whisperer\u2019s Network. This data has been analyzed by TWN\u2019s expert Slicers, who have checked both the validity and source code of the data deeming the holo coding to have been valid and the original footage.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The droid begins to speak again \u201cIn another dramatic turn of events for Derra, we have received numerous recordings and reports that Eidola pirates have also entered the system, we haven\u2019t been able to independently verify if they are affiliated with Havoc or if it they are there to take advantage of the chaos as alliance forces are spread thin. Numerous ships, storage containers and stations have been looted by the pirates, there haven\u2019t been any confirmable reports that the alliance has been able to do much to stop them. It has been speculated that the alliance’s failure to tackle Havoc\u2019s offensive and Eidola\u2019s sudden appearance in Derra has inspired the rebel groups to target civilian targets within Imperial space.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
